In 1950 the South Coast Choral Society was formed as a regional choir attracting members from many Fleurieu communities. When the society widened its activities into musicals and drama, its name was changed to the South Coast Choral and Arts Society.
The choir has continued to entertain audiences, often with 3 concerts each year, caterting to all musical tastes. It has been enthusiastically supported by our community, enabling the society to make many donations to local charities, especially the hospital.
The Choral Group is a member of the SA Country Choral Association, and participates in their bi-annual festivals. In 2016 SCCAS hosted the 23rd SACCA Choral Festival in Victor Harbor.
The Choral Group practices Monday nights at Adare Uniting Church Hall from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
One of the world’s most iconic and longest-running musicals, Les Misérables came to the Victor Harbor stage in 2018.
