Ana Marina attends Opening Night
Opening night of Les Miserables was a great success. The 200-strong audience was captivated by the music and story as the cast of 45 brought Victor Hugo's classic to life.
In attendance was star of Australian stages Ana Marina. Ana Marina (anamarina.com.au) portrayed Cosette in the 10th Anniversary production of Les Misérables that toured Australia and New Zealand. She is best known, however, for her role as Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera: understudying the role on London's West End and touring south-east Asia, Australia and New Zealand in the role. During her time as 'Christine' she racked up over 900 performances of the role, as well as picking up a Helpmann Award nomination and a Green Room Award nomination.
Marina has recently moved to the area and the cast were delighted to meet her after the show.
Les Misérables is playing at the Victor Harbor Town Hall 11-26 May. Tickets available here.
