Company 2019 Auditions
From musical theatre's most renowned composer, Stephen Sondheim, Company is largely regarded as a trailblazer of the dark-comedy, modern-musical genre and the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score, Best Lyrics and Best Book.
On the night of his 35th birthday, confirmed bachelor, Robert, pauses with his hand on a door, and contemplates his unmarried state. What takes place next are a series of memories and fantasies, in which he, his friends and girlfriends explore the pros and cons of taking on a spouse. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious array of interactions.
All characters mid 20s to mid 50’s. Stage ages flexible. All characters speak with standard American accent, aside from Susan.
